A once in a lifetime cycling opportunity...
Race the World, which took place in November 2015, is the first supported team cycling race, taking amateur riders to unique and stunning locations around the globe.
Team Garin and Team Deman raced through the stunning North American open spaces, deserts and remote Gulf coast from LA to Miami in this unprecedented adventure.
16 riders. 13 stages. 1 race
For a unique route, we needed great partners for the essential parts of the journey – bike, tyres, kit. We are really pleased to be working with dhb, Haglöfs, Planet K2, Schwalbe, Wiggle Nutrition and Wilier Triestina
"At Schwalbe, we’re very aware of the challenges faced by riders taking on a variety of surfaces, and we knew we could have a really positive impact on Race the World participants’ experience. We’re delighted that we were the official tyre partner of the event. Using a range of our proven cyclo-cross and performance road tyres, Race the World participants will be able to select the tyre best suited to the conditions." Dave Taylor, Marketing Manager, Schwalbe UK
Race the World
In 2015 we took on the USA section of the course, starting in Los Angeles on 1st November and finishing on 14th November in Miami.
Each team collectively covered between 200-300km per stage, although each rider only needed to be on the road for a certain amount of that, specified each day.
The Race Support
Race the World is the first fully supported cycling race: no rucksacks; no panniers, just you on the bike. We take care of the logistics so you can focus on your cycling
In 2015 we took on the challenge of the USA leg – the ultimate road trip!
- Leg 1 Europe
- Leg 2 Central Asia
- Leg 3 East Asia
- Leg 5 North America
From flat roads to brutal climbs through mountain passes. Take on diverse cities and cultures, and brave the unpredictable weather taking you from the cooler to warmer regions
If you are interested in taking on the Europe leg, please email us on email@example.com for more information
Experience the oldest, but least known cultures. Race through wild, desolate, unforgiving landscapes, and take on the heat and strong winds
If you are interested in taking on the Central Asia leg, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org for more information
Where ancient meets ultra-modern, experience the mystical pull of The Orient; hot and humid climates, twinned with fresh cool mountain air
If you are interested in taking on the East Asia leg, please email us on email@example.com for more information
From West Coast to East Coast, taking in the Deep South. You’ll experience climbs, descents, back country and wide open vistas, the classic road-trip
If you are interested in taking on the North American leg, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org for more information
We may need to make amendments to the route.
Race the World is a team race. You'll eat, ride and rest with your teammates and your team captain.
The Team… group, squad, crew, troupe, party, gang – whatever you want to call it, your team will become your family for the duration of the race. Whether you're in it to win it or simply seeking a serious challenge, team spirit and collective camaraderie will define your race. Lead by your own designated, experienced team manager, you'll be guided through your team's strategy and tactics throughout the duration of your race. Each team will be fully supported by dedicated staff, race vehicle and a professional mechanic.
